Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter attend the funeral of Peggy Carter in Pere Lachaise Cemetery, Paris. His recently passed lover from WWII reminds him once more of his life as a "man out of time", while Sharon mourns the passing of the last family she had, and the inspiration for her life as a secret agent. Nick Fury and Dum Dum Dugan join them as they leave the cemetery. A laser sight hits Dum Dum's chest and everyone hits the ground, a bullet barely missing its target. Steve jumps into action and chases the sniper out into the freeway. The gunman jumps on the back of a speeding motorcycle, fires a bomb towards Steve that blows up a car, and makes his escape. Steve thinks he recognizes the man as someone he hasn't seen since 1944. Flashing back to Paris, 1944, Nick Fury sets Peggy Carter, Dum Dum Dugan and Cap up for their next mission to tackle a secret Hydra base where Baron Zemo is currently holed up. Also in on the mission is Codename: Bravo and a teenage boy named Jimmy Jankovicz, codenamed Jimmy Jupiter. After the meeting breaks up, Bravo embraces and kisses Peggy, but she begs off, telling him that there is nothing between them. She wishes him well in the battle to follow and parts, but Bravo sees her in a romantic embrace with Steve Rogers and starts to steam. In the current day, Nick, Steve and Sharon visit Jimmy at a nursing facility formerly run by S.H.I.E.L.D. The elderely Jimmy is currently conscious, although in an almost catatonic state, after having been ina coma for decades. While Dugan is trying to connect with Bravo, Steve informs the rest that Bravo has reason to hate Steve because of the love triangle with Peggy. On their way to their car, they are attacked by a Hydra crew dressed out in new battle fatigues. They manage to steal away with Jimmy in the back of their car. It is clear to all that Bravo is now going rogue with a Hydra-affiliated cell. Meanwhile, Bravo is meeting with Baron Zemo, the topic being the destruction of Captain America.
