Dr. Octopus attacks causing Spidey to drop the exoskeleton power harness. As they fight, Ock yanks off Spidey’s mask. Spidey webs Ock’s glasses and flees. Randy Robertson fi nds the discarded mask, and brings it to his father. Later, Ock attacks Hammerhead’s nightclub headquarters. Although set up, Ock defeats Hammerhead’s men. At home, an exhausted Peter awakens to fi nd Gwen, Harry, and Dr. Bromwell, who diagnoses Peter with an ulcer. At the Daily Bugle, Peter fi nds his masked pinned to a bulletin board. When Ned tells him about a lead on May’s location, Peter stops at a costume shop to snag a Spidey mask. Woozy from his ulcer, Spidey stops in the same location as his previous battle with Ock, who attacks again. Spidey fi nds and dons the harness, using it to beat Ock, even though the harness runs out of power before he’s through. However, Hammerhead and his men arrive and train their guns on him.
