Spider-Man’s spider-sense warns him of the Man-Wolf’s attack. While fighting, he notices Man-Wolf’s pendant, wondering where he’s seen it before. As the moon sets, the creature retreats, leaving a dazed Spider-Man to limp home and pass out from exhaustion. The next morning at a coffee shop, Mary Jane, Randy, and Flash have breakfast when Harry Osborn walks in. Mary Jane tries to talk to him, but Harry angrily turns her away. Elsewhere, Jonah visits John’s apartment, finding him in the Man-Wolf’s garb. John tells him of the moonstone. When Jonah suggests he remove it, John reveals that the stone is permanently grafted to his skin. When Spider-Man awakes, he puts the pieces together and realizes the werewolf is John. He arrives at the Bugle but Jonah sics teargas-toting policemen on him, forcing him to flee. Exhausted and beaten, Peter visits Mary Jane who throws him out. Later, Spider-Man fi nds Man-Wolf attacking Kristine Saunders. During their fight, Spider-Man rips the grafted gem off Man-Wolf’s throat, flinging it into the water. John quickly becomes human. Spider-Man berates Jonah for fearing publicity and not getting John to a doctor.
