Spider-Man escapes from the security guards and two combative doctors, but a bullet grazes his shoulder. Meanwhile, Molten Man, burning up, invades Fenster Pharmaceutical labs and forces a scientist to prepare a formula for him. The formula works, but only briefly as Raxton ignites again, hotter than ever. Elsewhere, the police stop a bailed-out Liz, Harry, MJ, and Flash to take her to Fenster where Raxton is demanding her. Peter returns home after Curt Connors patches his shoulder and gets a letter from ESU saying failing grades will keep him from graduating with his class, and a call from Robbie about Raxton’s rampage. With Liz inside reasoning with Raxton, Spidey enters to try and help. However, Raxton attacks, his fl ames rendering the building unstable. Spidey gets Liz out before the building collapses around Raxton. Blaming herself for Raxton’s apparent death, Liz runs away from Harry before she hurts him as well.
