As the Goblin rousts various criminals to learn the location of a secret meeting, Spidey stumbles on a gangland execution, which he breaks up, discovering an invitation to the “Top of the World” in one of the victim’s pockets. At the World Trade Center restaurant, Silvermane holds a meeting for underworld heads to consolidate them under his direction, but the Goblin crashes the party. After subduing the ganglords, he announces that he can eliminate Spidey permanently, because he knows who he is. Hidden in a vent shaft, Spidey fears the Goblin is about to reveal his identity.
