Spider-Man arrives at school, contemplating his pending graduation and possible marriage, and almost gets caught in costume as class is about to begin. Elsewhere, Jackson Weele visits the Tinkerer to get his own equipment. Peter visits Aunt May in the hospital when his spider-sense goes off, triggered by Racer visiting his mother in the same room. Barging in as Spidey, he gives May another panic attack. The Racer attacks Spidey, getting them both out of the hospital. He knocks Spidey out with his micro-rockets when Weele arrives in his Tinkerer equipment, a Big Wheel. The Racer fl ees with Big Wheel in pursuit. Spidey catches up to the two and captures the Racer. The Big Wheel, unable to stop in time, falls into the river and sinks. Later, Peter returns to the hospital to find out May has been moved to the Critical Ward and Mary Jane declines his marriage proposal. He returns home, defeated, to fi nd someone waiting for him.
