Spidey sees Man-Wolf carrying off JJJ, and determines that someone is controlling him. He follows, missing a flying mini-cam observing them for Spencer Smythe, who is dying and wants revenge. Man-Wolf crashes into the New York Auto Show. Spidey follows and they battle. Spidey disarms a nervous cop, his gun winding up with Jameson. Man-Wolf grabs JJJ and escapes. At the Daily Globe, KJ Clayton wants to hire Peter. JJJ tries shooting Spidey, then Man-Wolf, but can’t bear to do either. Jameson keeps talking, trying to reach his son. This seems to work when Man-Wolf reverts to John on the Brooklyn Bridge. However, Smythe instills pain by remote control and John falls off the bridge. Smythe then presses a button and John disappears. Jameson accuses Spidey of killing his son.
