  • Spider-Man catches a mobster thrown out of a window where the Punisher is attacking. Spidey joins the fight but the Punisher shoots him with a mercy bullet and departs. Peter develops the photos he snapped then visits Aunt May at Restwell where Robbie tells him that Jonah had a nervous breakdown and was committed. At Bellville Hospital, Spidey accidentally incites Jonah into another attack by peeking in on him. JJJ escapes custody. At the Globe, Pete sells his photos and gets assigned a story with April Maye, who is not thrilled to work with him. Meanwhile, Punisher tries to fi gure out how Peter got photos when no one else was there. He investigates his apartment, fi nding a spider-tracer. At the Municipal Building, Peter and April cover Lorenzo Jacobi’s transfer to prison when two armored cars arrive to spring him, shaking off both Spidey and the Punisher’s pursuit. April blasts Peter for running off. Peter storms home where he finds Punisher who says he’s learned his secret.

Jonah, about to unmask Spidey, is frightened by a policeman and never follows through (during ASM #192, ’79).
