The Green Goblin places the finishing touches on his jet-propelled flying broomstick then meets with the Enforcers, convincing them to work with him for revenge on Spider-Man. Next, he meets with film producer B.J. Cosmos and suggests a film about Spider-Man,promising to recruit the real Spider-Man who, when meeting the Goblin, is intrigued by the offer. Peter, duped into thinking that the Goblin and Enforcers are only performers, arranges with Jameson and Aunt May to fly to Hollywood and appear in the film. Cosmos’ crew goes to the desert to film, but Spider-Man soon realizes it is a trap and fights all four of his foes. Their fight leads to a cave where Spider-Man bests the Enforcers but the Hulk emerges from the darkness allowing the Goblin to escape. Heavily outmatched, Spider-Man fights the Hulk but finally flees, leaving the Enforcers for the authorities. Cosmos decides not to make his film but leaves Spider-Man the fare he needs to return home. The Green Goblin plots to eventually best Spider-Man.
