  • Calypso wants Kraven to challenge Spider-Man but Kraven feels he acted dishonorably in previous confrontations. After Deb Whitman asks Peter to help her Uncle’s shipping line, Spidey travels to the docks, where a disguised Kraven has arrived with an animal shipment. Calypso surreptitiously frees the animals so that Kraven can heroically retrieve them. Later, Calypso tells Kraven that Spidey opened the cages. At the Globe, Peter turns down Dockery’s sleazy photo assignment as Kraven enters and challenges Spider-Man. In the Museum of Natural History, Kraven fi ghts Spidey leading him into a trap and paralyzing him. Spidey recovers enough to propel Kraven into the police’s hands. A similarly captured Calypso cannot believe Kraven has lost. Spidey senses Kraven didn’t really want to fight and regrets his own hotheadedness.

    Spider-Man & Tigra defeat Kraven (MTU #67, ’78).

Page 11, panel 5 incorrectly references SW #31, ’80, instead of SW #30, ’80. Calypso’s last name revealed in MSH Gamers Guide #7, ’91.
