  • Then: Jeanne Foucault is a child prodigy who mastered many skills at a young age, including math, science, engineering, and even shooting pool. Her parents were grooming her for the Olympics until she was recruited by Tigra to join the Initiative. She's mentored by Norman Osborn while mastering many different fighting styles. However, Jeanne doesn't understand social interaction. Now: Finesse embarrasses Reptil by pointing out that she read his file and revealing that he's never kissed a girl. Veil tells Finesse that she humiliated Reptil, but Finesse doesn't understand, so Finesse offers to kiss Reptil in front of the other students to make up for it. Just then the Arsenal robot attacks. The students quickly defeat the robot and the Academy instructors reveal that Quicksilver and Jocasta sent the robot as a surprise test. The students don't appreciate it and Wasp apologizes. Later the students discuss whether they should leave the Academy because the instructors are lying to them about why they're here, but Finesse points out they can learn a lot of things at the academy, and should wait for now. Over time, Finesse observes the others students, but doesn't really understand why they do certain things, such as Veil's futile crush on Justice. Finesse tries to talk to Wasp about fitting in and socialization in general, and tries to flirt with him the way Veil flirts with Justice. But she takes it too far when she mentions Janet Van Dyne, so she changes the subject by confiding her suspicion that she may be related to the Avengers' enemy Taskmaster. Wasp advises her she might be better off not knowing, and he leaves her to watch a "Marvels Spotlight" episode profiling Quicksilver. The video profile, combined with Finesse's knowledge of the Avengers files, leads her to deduce a secret about Quicksilver. Finesse later approaches Quicksilver and blackmails him into sharing Magneto's teaching techniques with her, or else she'll reveal to the world it was really him who stole the Terrigen Crystals, and not a Skrull like he claims.

This issue also includes "The Avengers Word Search" puzzle and a text piece by Gage in place of a letters page. Speedball appears on this issue's cover but does not appear in the story. Need Locations.
