  • When Cap learns that noted peacemaker Dr. Robert Hoskins is missing in Viet Nam, he gets permission from the State Department to gain transport in a B-52 to Southeast Asia. He parachutes into the jungle and is immediately attacked by soldiers and a sniper. He escapes and later allows himself to be captured by soldiers wearing unfamiliar uniforms. The soldiers take Cap to their master, the Mandarin, who reveals that he has captured Hoskins in a plot to further throw Viet Nam into chaos so he can rule in the aftermath. Cap breaks free and searches Mandarin’s castle until he finds Hoskins behind a steel door. Using gunpowder to blast through, Cap attempts to escape with Hoskins but they are blocked by Mandarin. Cap knocks Mandarin off the drawbridge into the moat, and after an all-night trek, returns Hoskins to his job of healing the wounded. With both sides realizing they were duped by the Mandarin, they can return to the peace table.

Pages 12 & 13 of story are half-pages, resulting in a 19-page story numbered as a 20-page tale; format continues through Cap #140.
