Hyde attacks as Spidey, slowed by his sprained ankle, fl ees with Cobra in tow. At the nearby police station, Marla Madison, Lance Bannon, and Ned Leeds wait for Spidey to arrive. An explosion alerts them and the police to the battle outside where Spider-Man tosses Cobra at Hyde. When he catches him, Hyde realizes that Spidey’s webbing has stuck them together. Weighted down with Cobra, Hyde trashes a water tower causing Lance to fall off an adjacent building. Spidey rescues him but webs his mouth shut when Lance complains that Spidey didn’t save his camera. Hyde knocks Cobra out and drags him off. At ESU, Peter cleans out his desk, having quit his teaching assistant job. His fellow TAs try to throw him a surprise party but he ducks out without being aware of it. Hyde brings Cobra to the Central Park West apartment. There he fi nally dissolves Spidey’s webbing but the web-slinger arrives and attacks him, finally flinging him out the window to the sidewalk below. Cobra eludes the arriving police but, seeing Spider-Man return, he begs the cops to take him away.
