  • The Green Goblin has Spider-Man chained while he and the Crime-Master bicker. Suddenly, police officers burst on the scene. In the resulting tumult, Spider-Man breaks free and joins the fight. The gang is rounded up but the Goblin and Crime-Master both escape. The Crime-Master makes an attempt on Jameson’s life, but the police arrive and kill him in a shootout. They reveal that Foswell tipped them off to the Crime-Master’s true identity. Spider-Man’s temporary costume finally becomes so difficult that he abandons it. Peter decides to offer his photos to Barney Bushkin at the Daily Globe instead of Jameson, but Bushkin is so inquisitive that Peter beats a hasty retreat. Jameson basks in the reflected glory of Foswell’s role in the Crime-Master’s downfall but is concerned that Peter might leave the Bugle. Peter begins to sew a new costume while, elsewhere, Foswell puts away his Patch disguise and the Green Goblin plans revenge on Spider-Man.

    Frederick Foswell revealed as Patch.
