Spidey drops by Nose Norton’s place to ask him about the Hobgoblin. Norton acts suspicious so Spidey plants a tracer on him. After Spidey leaves, Nose pulls out his “special package,” knowing it is his ticket to a better life. Peter has lunch with Aunt May, Anna Watson, Nathan Lubensky, and Mary Jane. Afterwards, he tails Nose to Brooklyn. There Nose sells his package to “Doc” and his gang. Spidey breaks in and almost has the crew wrapped up when Frog-Man, who is desperately trying to become a super hero, interrupts, allowing the crooks to get away. When Peter develops the fi lm from the fi ght, he notices a map of Long Island amongst the gang’s plans and goes there. On Long Island, the gang opens Nose’s package revealing an energy-beam weapon that they use to blast and abduct an armored car. Within the car, Doc removes a crate containing the Wrecker’s crowbar and Thunderball’s ball and chain. His angered gang, expecting a gold shipment, attacks and is swiftly beaten to a pulp. Spidey arrives and sees why. Doc is actually the super-villain Thunderball.
