As Flash cowers in an alley, Spidey sees Titania robbing a jewelry store. Previously humiliated by Spidey, Titania runs. Spidey follows her to her hotel room, sees the Absorbing Man there, hears them mention LaGuardia, and leaves to report to the Avengers hotline. At the Bugle, Peter and Ned almost come to blows over Betty. Peter wonders why Ned is triggering his spider-sense. The Wasp investigates Spidey’s tip but the villains have moved to a cheap hotel where Titania schemes to maneuver Crusher into killing Spidey. Meanwhile, Hobgoblin terrorizes Kingsley, demanding better weapons. At LaGuardia, Crusher and Titania wait to pick up a new Masters of Evil member. Titania spies an investigating Spidey and attacks him, forcing Crusher to join in. The fi ght spills onto the runway. As the prospective Masters of Evil member departs on his own, Crusher takes a beating from Spidey to anger Titania into fighting back. He then threatens to trash a passenger-filled plane unless Spidey lets them escape. Spidey does, and is labeled a coward. Later, Flash, still in the alley, hears of this and decides to face up to his problems.
