  • Spidey spots Aunt May protesting for senior rights on the City Hall steps. She is pushed and falls into a cop who arrests her. Peter arrives at the courthouse. The Judge sets May’s bail at $200, which Peter pays, wiping him out. After Peter fails to get an advance from Jonah, MJ informs him she is working as a fi lm extra and suggests that he do the same. They both go to the “Spawn of the Spider” set where Leroy, the stuntman playing the Man-Spider, falls from a building. Spidey saves Leroy, only to find himself hired to replace him. That night, a strongman, an acrobat, and a tumbler — all criminals who Spider-Man previously stopped — enter the darkened Delazny Studios and are instructed to don the Spider-Squad suits. The following day on the set, the Squad attacks the make-up van with Spidey inside. During the fight, Spidey is slashed with a drugged sword-stinger, and plunges into the East River. Later, recalling that Klemmer made the suits, Spidey heads to his hotel room, finding the Squad there. They escape in Klemmer’s limo, but Spidey follows to an upstate farm’s grain silo and defeats the Squad. Finding Klemmer unconscious under the hay, Spidey realizes this is a trap. Outside, DeLionatus, the true mastermind, looking to collect insurance money, blows up the silo. However, Spidey successfully hauls everyone out fi rst, then knocks DeLionatus out. The next day, Aunt May returns Peter’s money since the judge dismissed the charges.
