Awakening in Diablo’s castle, Goliath learns Diablo wants Goliath to help finish potions that will bring a newly constructed army of inanimate Dragon Men to life, and threatens Wasp’s life to make Goliath comply. The other Avengers get coordinates for Diablo’s castle from Mr. Fantastic, and take off in an Aero-car for Transylvania. Upon arrival, Hercules engages Dragon Man in battle, while the rest of the Avengers break into the castle, but are attacked by Goliath. Meanwhile, at Col. Ling’s base, Ling is shocked that the Black Widow has survived the Psychotron, and she makes an escape attempt, only to be quickly recaptured. Back at Diablo’s castle, the other Avengers convince Goliath to stop fighting them, explaining that Hercules is battling Dragon Man. Diablo is soon defeated thanks to Captain America’s timely arrival, and Hercules seemingly destroys Dragon Man. Captain America has Diablo’s castle blown up. A short time later, the Avengers receive a dispatch saying that the Black Widow is a prisoner in China. Hawkeye vows to free her.
