Spider-Man revives from the Vulture’s blow but is so sick that he takes to his bed. Kraven has heard of the new Vulture and decides to bring him down rather than let someone else defeat Spider-Man. While Aunt May tends to Peter at his apartment, the Vulture performs a daring helicopter robbery mid-air, only to be subsequently attacked by Kraven. Hearing the news over the radio, Peter ventures out of bed as Spider-Man to stop his adversaries. Despite his weakened condition, Spider-Man holds out against them, and Kraven winds up defeating the Vulture while Spider-Man then brings down Kraven. Peter returns to his bed in time for a visit from Dr. Bromwell, at Aunt May’s insistence.
