After defeating Black Panther, Stinger goes to a museum where the Avengers are scheduled to attend a benefit. A bird-man named Bloodhawk disrupts the event by seizing an artifact on display, a totem he needs to safeguard Maura, his South Pacific island home. The Avengers defeat Bloodhawk, whose guardian, Teacher, implores the heroes for the return of the totem to Maura. The Avengers take Bloodhawk, Teacher and the relic to Avengers Mansion, where they agree in a split vote to assist the Maurans. Iron Man leaves, and Beast, Thor and Vision accompany Bloodhawk and Teacher to Maura, where they encounter Monolith, an enormous rock creature. Meanwhile, Stinger sneaks into the mansion and subdues the remaining Avengers and Jarvis.

Bloodhawk is born as the result of an experiment by his geneticist father, and Teacher takes him to remote Maura to live in a cage to protect others from his periodic bouts of insanity (p).
The Stinger’s real name is revealed in OHMU #12, ’10 Wasp wears her red and blue costume here but it somehow changes to a red and yellow costume while she’s unconscious next issue. Letters page features a LoC by future web comic creator Al Schroeder III.
