Dr. Liu defects from Yellow Claw and tries to warn the Avengers of the Claw’s plans, but is slain by a bomb implanted inside him. The Avengers follow his information to an Australian rocket base. Meanwhile, having separated from the team, Vision confronts Claw, revealing he has learned that Claw had him modified during his recent captivity to give off radiation which would allow the Claw to track him, and the Avengers too if Vision is with them. Claw captures Vision and reveals his plan to continue living through his progeny, using his specialized gas to render everyone else sterile. Claw releases three cyborg henchmen against the Avengers, keeping the Avengers busy while he departs to disperse his gas from orbit. Once safely away, Claw detonates his henchmen, hoping to kill the Avengers, but Scarlet Witch blunts the blast with a hex sphere. Vision increases his density to throw Claw’s ship off course; an enraged Claw inadvertently frees Vision and they battle until the ship crashes into the ocean. The Avengers find the Vision, but Claw seems to have died in the crash.
