Surfer uses his cosmic power to save the heroes, and they gather to form a plan now that Don Blake and Tony Stark are powerless. Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four fruitlessly try to penetrate Molecule Man’s dome. Later, Tigra contemplates killing Molecule Man in his sleep, but fi nds herself unable to go through with it. She’s reunited with the others just as Molecule Man attacks. Eventually, despite two of their number being depowered, they manage to take him down. Realizing the only way to truly stop him is to kill him, the heroes debate over a course of action. Tigra, however, is able to talk Molecule Man into surrendering for psychiatric treatment. He restores their weapons, save for Iron Man’s overly complex armor, and the surrounding area as much as possible. Tigra, deciding she’s not Avengers material, resigns from the team.
Tigra saves Myron Marks from a subway bully. The Avengers rescue Silver Surfer and launch an attack on Molecule Man. Molecule Man captures the Avengers and kills them in a crusher (Av #215, ’82).
