As Joe Robertson fi nds another photographer to replace Peter Parker, the Vulture attacks Spider-Man, whose injured arm hampers his fi ghting ability. The battle migrates to the Bugle building where Spider-Man warns Jameson and Robertson by name, making Robbie wonder if he is someone he knows. The Vulture smashes a billboard, sending debris toward Jameson. Robbie rescues Jonah but is wounded. Blaming Spider-Man, Jameson grabs him for the Vulture. Spidey is forced to web him up. Meanwhile, Mary Jane shows May and Anna her new short hairstyle. Captain Stacy tells Gwen he now remembers Peter was helping not attacking him during the Brainwasher episode. They walk past the Bugle building, witnessing the Spider-Man-Vulture fi ght. Betty Brant tells a terrified Gwen that Peter is taking photos on the roof. The Vulture pummels Spider-Man until he falls but saves himself with a web cushion. When the Vulture investigates, Spidey springs up and crushes the wings’ power pack in the Vulture’s back. Losing energy fast, the Vulture flies away. Spider-Man passes out as the crowd encircles him, with a chance to unmask him.
