  • The Avengers regroup in New York City, each attempting to pierce the barrier in various ways to no avail. The Vision and Scarlet Witch arrive to help, only for Vision to collapse when he uses his density powers to pass through the barrier, while inside the Baxter Building, a gloating Annihilus tortures Alicia Masters. Initiating the second part of his Null-fi eld, another barrier spreads outwards from the Baxter Building. Recognizing it, Starfox warns the Avengers that it could destroy the entire dimension. After he confers with Captain Marvel, the female Avenger travels to the sun and back, using her powers to become a dense gamma laser beam to punch through the barrier, which fades away. The Avengers race inside to discover that Captain Marvel and the Fantastic Four have ended Annihilus’ threat. Mr. Fantastic starts to examine the Vision for damage, but both teams are distracted by the Invisible Girl’s discovery of her son Franklin’s unconscious body. As the others race off to get Franklin medical treatment, the Scarlet Witch remains at her husband’s side.

The story is told from the FF’s perspective in FF #255, ’83. Wasp dons a new black & purple costume in this story.
