Out jogging, She-Hulk runs into Spider-Man, and lets slip that as an Avenger she gets paid $1,000 a week. Meanwhile, prison officials in Vermont discover that the Wizard they have imprisoned is a plant duplicate. As his escape is tied in with the Plantman’s recent attack on the President, government offi cials soon call the Avengers to help in tracking down the villain. The team splits up into search parties, with Captain America, She-Hulk, and Scarlet Witch investigating the Wizard’s Long Island estate. The Wizard sets off defense systems against each of them, but all three eventually escape from their traps, and Scarlet Witch catches the Wizard as he tries to fl ee. Upon returning to the Avengers Mansion, Scarlet Witch returns to the Vision’s side feeling she accomplished something, giving her hope.
Starfox’s date may be Ms. Harmon, later seen testifying at his sexual assault trial in SH #7, ’06; if not, this is her last app. Wasp dons a new blue & white costume in this story.
