  • Starfox grows bored while on his shift to watch over the stricken Vision, but is shocked when the Vision reveals his voice has finally reactivated. Seeking to speed up the Vision’s slow self-repair, Starfox links the Avengers Mansion computer up with ISAAC, Titan’s super computer. The resulting link up allows the Vision to create a holographic projection of himself while his body continues to heal. Meanwhile, Janet, Jennifer, and Wanda are out shopping for an apartment for Jennifer, but have little luck as everyone they encounter makes an issue of her skin color. They return to Avengers Mansion to discover the Vision awake and using his new computing abilities to determine Moonstone and Blackout’s location. At Moonstone’s hideout, the villain uses her psychology skills to discover Blackout’s true origin. As she plots to use his powers to her benefi t, the Avengers burst in. The two villains try to fi ght back, but Blackout’s powers backfi re, casting him and Moonstone into the Darkforce dimension. Later, back at Avengers Mansion, the heroes privately question Vision’s newfound abilities, but are soon interrupted by Tigra, calling from a comatose Jessica Drew’s hospital room and seeking their help, even as Spider-Woman’s ghost appears before her.

Captain Marvel is imprisoned in a Darkforce bubble by Blackout; she later fails to apprehend Blackout and Moonstone (Av #237, ’83). Dr. Croit chooses not to press charges against Mark Daniels (1). Daniels becomes his lab assistant but is accidentally exposed to Darkforce energy (Nova #19, ’78) (2).

Wasp dons a new purple & yellow costume in this story.
