The Leviathan breaks off its attack on Atlantis, leaving as Namor arrives. Resolving to end Marrina’s threat, he heads back to rejoin the Avengers. At Hydrobase, Hank Pym has sent the Avengers harpoons containing a serum he hopes will reverse Marrina’s condition. Namor arrives, and the Avengers begin their search. Meanwhile, the Council of Kross-Time Kangs offers Kang membership, which he hesitantly accepts. Eventually catching up with the Leviathan, the Avengers shoot a harpoon down its throat, but the cure only briefl y reverts the beast back into Marrina. Thor and Captain Marvel strike the Leviathan with a barrage of lightning, and Namor uses the Black Knight’s Ebony Blade to slay it. Sinking beneath the waves, the Avengers discover the Leviathan was using the destroyed ships to build a nest; the eggs within hatch, with Marrina’s monstrous children disappearing into the ocean depths. Finding his wife has reverted to humanoid form upon her demise, Namor departs to bury her, promising he will find her offspring. Meanwhile, the other Avengers realize Captain Marvel is missing.
