  • Black Knight and Thor return to Hydrobase, where She-Hulk and Dr. Druid catch them off guard, planting Nebula’s mindbenders to enslave them. Meanwhile, the Council of Kross-Time Kangs hold an emergency meeting, where Chairman Kang discovers their ranks have been compromised by the Kang Nebula. Chairman Kang reveals to Kang Fred that Nebula seeks a powerful weapon created by a renegade Celestial, hidden in the Bubble at the Heart of Time. The Kangs put together a strike-team lead by Chairman Kang, and including Kang Fred. At that same time, Nebula informs the Avengers of the time bubble and has the enslaved team modify a Quinjet for time travel. They depart moments ahead of the Council’s strike-team arriving at Hydrobase, and soon reach the Bubble at the Heart of Time...

Council of Kross-Time Kangs members fail to breach the Bubble at the Heart of Time (p). Ravonna kills a Kang, taking the identity for herself (1). A near future group of Avengers breach the Bubble (Av #297, ’88, See NOTE).

Chairman Kang again refers to the Council as the “Kross-Time Kang Korps.” As shown here, from the Kangs’ perspective, the Avengers breach the Bubble in the past, but it actually depicts a new event that happens next issue. Though we only see the exterior of the Quinjet that breaches the time bubble, Chairman Kang (and Dr. Druid next issue) mentions that Thor is present aboard it.
