At home, a half-clad-in-costume Peter agonizes over attacking Jameson. Harry suddenly arrives. Peter webs his Spidey shirt away before Harry sees it, then hopes Harry doesn’t notice his tights below his robe. Later, he develops Kingpin photos that prove Spidey’s innocence but wonders who will buy them. Meanwhile, Quicksilver rushes to Avengers mansion to explain his apparent alliance with Magneto in Av #53 but learns the Avengers are away. He sees the Bugle proclaiming Spider-Man’s guilt and decides to redeem himself by capturing him. At the hospital, a doctor tells Robbie that Jameson suffered shock and must rest for several weeks. John Jameson visits. Now running the Bugle, Robbie buys Peter’s Spider-Man-clearing photos for a larger price than Jameson ever paid. Soon after, Spider-Man gives the tablet to Captain Stacy and feels all is well, until Quicksilver attacks, moving so swiftly the wall-crawler can’t keep up. At the hospital, Jameson sees the Spidey-clearing Bugle and rages against Robbie. On the street, Quicksilver literally runs circles around Spidey until the wall-crawler sticks out his arm, catching Quicksilver in the solar plexus. When Spidey doesn’t follow his advantage, Quicksilver believes in his innocence. Spidey hopes his luck has changed.
Jonah Jameson unconscious in the street from ASM #70, ’69. Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch, & the Toad escape Magneto’s destroyed island fortress, crash-landing in the Adirondacks. Quicksilver runs to New York to contact the Avengers, after events in Av #53, ’68.
Peter is now apparently paying rent to Harry.
