As they depart, Super-Nova unleashes another power surge, which Firelord and the Human Torch absorb then release into space. While the battle continues, Reed collects Dr. Doom’s time machine from his old lab. Quasar takes Reed back to Chicago, and Reed offers Super-Nova use of the time machine in order to pursue Nebula into the timestream. Super-Nova agrees, recognizing Reed from his prior dealings with Xandar, and vanishes into the timestream. Reed’s efforts are cheered by all the heroes save Cap, who is incensed at Reed’s latest disregard of his command.
