After serving his Avengers Crew colleagues breakfast, Jarvis experiences terrifying visions of the Crimson Cowl, the costumed identity that he and Ultron shared when Ultron mesmerized Jarvis into betraying the Avengers years ago. Crazed with fear and guilt as the Cowl accuses him of being a traitor, Jarvis shoots the Cowl repeatedly, then pulls off the Cowl’s mask and sees his own face beneath it. The Jarvis-faced Cowl continues to torment Jarvis until the butler shoots the Cowl in the face. When Michael O’Brien bursts in to investigate the gunfire, there is no trace of the Cowl, and a badly shaken Jarvis claims he saw a rat and shot at it in a panic.
