With Quasar and She-Hulk’s help, Vision frees Thor’s hammer from its encasement of anti-probability and prepares to liberate Sersi, but Sersi’s prison shatters as the Tetrarchs of Entropy arrive. They separate the Avengers into two groups and trick them through illusions into fighting each other. After the heroes see through the deception, the Tetrarchs question the Avengers’ presumed allegiance to Ngh. While the reserve substitute Avengers plan to find and rescue the primary team, the Avengers Crew runs a high-security background check on Rage, who passes and receives his membership card. He uses the card to call his grandmother, Edna Staples, only to discover that Ngh is holding her captive. Before Rage can head home to rescue her, the Tetrarchs and the primary team, now in uneasy alliance, appear on the HQ rooftop. The Avengers are suspicious of the Tetrarchs, who secretly plan to banish Earth to the Dimension of Exile after they find Ngh.
Tony Stark records a message concerning the program he wrote for doing background checks on prospective Avengers.
Black Knight notes that the Avengers abide by Robert’s Rules of Order at meetings. This issue reveals Rage’s full name (Elvin Daryl Holiday, changed to Haliday in later stories), his date of birth (November 20, 1977), social security number (115-25-0899) and address (535- 19 Dubois St., Brooklyn, New York), as well as Edna Staples’ birthplace and date (April 17, 1918, Hazelhurst, Miss.). Peggy Carter notes that Avengers membership cards are solar-powered, waterproof, shockproof communicators, headquarters access cards, and bank cards.
