As dignitaries and super-heroes attend a reception to celebrate the opening of Avengers HQ, the Avengers Crew detects a security breach in the building’s sub-sub-basement and Jarvis spies Dr. Doom in a hallway. Captain America summons Vision and Sandman to help him investigate. Cap encounters Doom in the Avengers’ weapons testing chamber while the other two simultaneously fight Doom in the East River shuttle area. The Avengers’ computerized security system goes offline and when it restarts, everyone discovers that it is under the control of Doom, who sabotaged the system while disguised as unexpected party attendee, Iron Man.
