At a backwater bar in Shi’ar space, Galen Kor hires Hepzibah and Raza to assassinate the Black Knight, Hepzibah with a sizable fee and Raza with the promise of seeing his missing son again. On Earth, Cyclops and Charles Xavier meet with the Avengers, Valerie Cooper, and Quicksilver to advise them on the threat Magento’s Acolytes present to Luna. Keeping their true plans secret, Raza and Hepzibah convince the Starjammers to visit former teammate Binary on Earth. Thor and Hercules find Dane Whitman training instead of attending Xavier’s briefing, but Dane snaps at them and leaves, brushing off reunited couple Crystal and Quicksilver on his way out since he is trying to avoid them. An arriving Sersi encounters Dane on the roof, stewing over his forbidden feelings for the married Crystal and his guilt over killing the Supreme Intelligence; Sersi tries to cheer Dane up with a passionate kiss, but their interlude is interrupted by the Starjammers’ arrival. While the various heroes catch up over dinner, Raza sneaks away to the hangar and attacks Dane. Marilla and Luna interrupt their battle, and Raza snatches Luna as a hostage. Dane lunges for Luna and falls into Raza’s sword. The Avengers arrive, and a repentant Raza is throttled by Hercules, who swears to avenge Dane’s death.
Kor’s name is revealed in Av #364,’93, and Rion’s next issue. Hercules shaves off his beard just prior to the main story.
