  • From his chamber, Reaper watches his scrying flame depict his Legion of the Unliving’s battle with the Avengers. Black Knight (Whitman) reopens his stitches while battling Red Guardian, Zemo and Black Knight (Garrett). They overwhelm him and Red Guardian bites him. Elsewhere, Vision’s solar eye beams burn Amenhotep and Necrodamus. Reasoning that his battle with the zombies is at a standstill, he withdraws through the stone ceiling. Meanwhile, Star-Stalker and Nefaria combine to pummel Hercules unconscious, while Inferno advances relentlessly on Crystal. In another corridor, Sersi transforms Nebulon into a rat, a pig and a toad, but he simply shapeshifts back to his humanoid form. Reaper’s viewing is interrupted when Vision arrives and reminds Reaper that the Avengers didn’t kill him; he committed suicide while consumed with guilt over his deeds. When Reaper remembers, he loses control of the Legion, who return to Reaper’s chamber and attack him. Just as the other Avengers arrive, Lloigoroth crashes through the walls and devours Reaper. Suddenly, another vortex appears and returns the Avengers to Earth.
