In the arena Karkas and Ransak battle Giant-Man and Black Knight, the two Avengers fitted with brain-mines. As Dane grabs a guard’s sword and prepares a killing strike against the two Deviants, Ghaur disables Dragona and Tzabaoth, which forces Kro to surrender. Toro Rojo and Enigmo arrive to aid their teammates. Hank reaches his power’s limits and shrinks out of his brain-mine, and, just as Toro unwillingly changes back into Tupac Amaru, a psionic surge caused by his mindlink with Sersi disables Dane’s. Ghaur merges the Avengers, Kro, and Tzabaoth into a Uni-Mind and joins with it too. Hank, Dane, and the other Delta Force members fend off Ghaur’s Deviant horde, during which an energy saber inexplicably appears in Dane’s hand. Ghaur then attacks them with the powers of the Uni-Mind’s component heroes’ powers and Captain America’s shield. Despite Ghaur’s initially successful attack, Dane slashes open the Uni-Mind with his saber, freeing the Avengers, Kro and Tzabaoth. Sersi reveals that she provided Dane his weapon, since their mindlink interfered with the Uni-Mind. Ghaur nevertheless orders both teams off Lemurian soil, and they reluctantly comply. Khult and Tantalus watch them leave, gloating that their plan to incite a Deviant civil war nears fruition.
