With the teen Tony Stark’s heart having been ripped out by the adult Tony Stark, Crystal and Vision work to save his life. Meanwhile, the Avengers battle Kang and his Anachronauts as Stark’s Arctic bunker transforms into a Time Citadel. Kang activates his Temporal Transposer in a plan to shunt this Earth out of time, creating a beachhead isolated from other timelines. As Vision assures the young Tony they’ve stabilized his condition, the elder Stark regrets his actions and frees the Cotati Swordsman. Kang pummels the Avengers into submission until Stark arrives to fight Kang. The Avengers fail to destroy the Temporal Transposer, so Stark sacrifices himself by placing his body in the Temporal Transposer’s energy beam, creating a feedback loop that destroys the machine. Kang and Mantis escape, the Time Citadel disappears and the Avengers find themselves in the Temple of Agaphaur. As Stark dies, he gives the Avengers a schematics diagram for his old chest plate so his younger counterpart can live. Tuc arrives, returns Luna to her parents, and leaves with the Cotati.
