Jeffrey goes to Avengers HQ hoping to convince Thor to remove his father’s cancer. Upon being ejected by Jarvis, he tries to sneak in only to be caught in the building’s defenses. Thor finds him, hears his pleas and tries to ask Odin for help, only to be refused. Suddenly, Absorbing Man attacks. Meanwhile, Mr. Crane follows Jeff’s note to the HQ and attacks Creel to save his son. Creel grabs Mr. Crane and, believing he had powers, tries to absorb them. Instead, Creel becomes one giant cancer cell until he absorbs the air and flies away. However, he has inadvertently taken enough of Mr. Crane’s cancer to render it treatable.
