While Triathlon headlines the Triune Understanding’s new world headquarters’ opening ceremony, the Avengers track Lord Templar. The trail leads to the temple, where Triathlon refuses them entry. Suddenly Pagan erupts from the ground, and battle ensures. Meanwhile, in Iowa the Wrecking Crew are robbing a bank when something teleports them away. The Avengers and Triathlon have little luck against Pagan, but Templar arrives and blasts him; since his attacks seem to be the only ones affecting Pagan, Triathlon stops the Avengers from attacking Templar. Templar and his avatars take Pagan away, leaving the Avengers looking bad to the bystanders, an effect Tremont worsens with some carefully chosen words to the crowd. Later, Templar appears in Tremont’s suite and merges with him as they plot against the Avengers. Meanwhile, Ultron receives data from Hank Pym’s computer he believes can be used to ensure the human race’s destruction.
Wanda and Cap discuss the lack of teamwork. Wanda decides to become “morale officer” and institutes a rotating chairmanship for the weekly meetings, starting with Firestar. Iron Man interrupts the meeting to state he has a way to track Lord Templar.
