Teleporting the Wrecking Crew to his base, Doomsday Man compels them to pay the debt they owe him for freeing them by bringing him Ms. Marvel. However, they mistakenly track Captain Marvel (now Photon) to New Orleans, where they rampage to get her attention. Meanwhile, Justice shakily gets through leading the weekly meeting, cursing his performance later. As the Avengers try to figure out a way to calm his nervousness around them, Dane Whitman arrives and asks to use the training room. His request is interrupted by Photon’s arrival, looking for aid since she was unable to defeat the Crew who can now absorb her energy. Racing to New Orleans, the Avengers fight a running battle against the Crew. Attempting to help Black Knight, Justice flies into the path of his sword swing, and is knocked out, and Photon is caught off guard when she comes to Justice’s aid. The Crew attempts to teleport away with her, but Doomsday Man hits them a disintegration beam instead for their mistake. Scarlet Witch uses a hex bolt to save them, shunting them out of their reality. In NYC, Wasp bumps into Warbird, who she dismisses Jan’s attempt to chat because of her past treatment by the team. Suddenly, she’s teleported away by Doomsday Man.
