Having traced the Wrecking Crew to Arkon’s world, Thor opens a portal and takes the Avengers there. Meanwhile, Justice is placed on restrictive duty for his concussion while Wasp alerts Iron Man to Warbird’s disappearance. In Doomsday Man’s lair, Warbird awakens wearing her old costume and trapped within a force field. As Doomsday Man relays his origin, she keeps him talking long enough to disable the field and attack. The Avengers track her to the AIM warehouse ruins where the Quinjet is downed by a laser blast just before Warbird’s fight takes her above ground. In Polemachus the other Avengers find Thundra and the Imperion soldiers. She tells them the Wrecking Crew have taken over using Photon to increase their powers. The Avengers vow to help, and to save Photon. On Earth, Justice sneaks out of the mansion to help the others, straining himself to fly to the warehouse, but Doomsday Man gives him a broken arm for his trouble. Giant-Man theorizes they can stop Doomsday Man from the inside, and with great strain, Justice rips Doomsday Man apart, revealing Destructor inside. He explains that Doomsday Man sought Warbird as a bio-replacement for his decaying form. Justice is taken away in an ambulance, congratulated as a true Avenger. Meanwhile, in Polemachus, a captured Cap is brought before Wrecker.
