The Imperions call for Cap’s death. The Imperion who captured him demands to do it, egged on by the crowd. Outside, the Avengers and Arkon’s loyal forces launch their attack against the castle. Meanwhile, the captive “Cap” is revealed as Vision in disguise, while the soldier is actually Cap. He tries unsuccessfully to free Photon, but Vision slips away and frees Arkon, whose fighting spirit is rejuvenated by seeing Wanda and Thundra again. Arkon forces Greybeard to admit his crimes, restoring Arkon to the throne. Using Mjolnir, Thor frees Photon, but it doesn’t return to him, leaving him weaponless as Wrecker feeds on Photon’s energy and attacks. Vision attempts to disrupt the power flow, but instead Photon overloads the Crew, burning out their “batteries,” and the Avengers take them back to Earth. Later, as Pym works on trying to help save Korman, Ultron’s robots abduct him.
Doomsday Man hires the Wrecking Crew. As he teleports them away, Scarlet Witch’s powers send them and Photon to Polemachus (Av #16, ’99). Greybeard imprisons Photon to power the Crew. The Crew takes over Arkon’s kingdom (1). Scarlet Witch plucks the Flower of Love (Av #76, ’70).
