  • The Avengers visit the Pentagon for a military briefing on Ultron’s Slorenian rampage. When Justice questions why the Black Panther is allowed to join the Avengers on this mission, Captain America and Thor rebuke him. In a containment cell beneath the Pentagon, Alkhema quietly summons aid. At Nugent Technologies, Alice Nugent is showing Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Wonder Man Hank’s ruined lab, when robot duplicates of past Ultrons attack and overpower them. Meanwhile, unable to assist on the mission due to his injured leg, Justice returns to Avengers Mansion and begins searching through mission files for anything that may help the Avengers defeat Ultron. As the Avengers and UN troops plot to invade Slorenia, Ultron greets the captured Avengers in his lair beneath the Slorenian capital Tblunka.

Ultron’s mechanical forces slaughter all life in Slorenia, including local superhumans Black Brigade and Ember. He then broadcasts a message claiming Slorenia as his own nation (p). The Wasp tries to flirt with Giant-Man while the duo searches across the city for hijackers (1). Working on renewing their love, Jan serves a cup of tea to Hank in his study (2). Hank Pym & Alice Nugent work in the lab together (IM #194, ’85). A newly created Ultron turns on Hank (Av #58, ’68 fb). Hank accidentally exposes himself to untested chemicals, leading to a split personality (Av #60, ’69 fb). Hank and Jan marry (Av #60, ’69). A brainwashed Ant-Man attacks the Avengers with a swarm of ants (Av #161, ’77). Yellowjacket strikes Jan (Av #213, ’81). Hank fumes in prison, accused of treason (Av #224, ’82).

Captain America is noted as having “Paladin Plus” Pentagon clearance.
