  • The Green Goblin fl ies right through the window into Peter and Harry’s apartment, gloating over a new weapon that will nullify Spider-Man’s power, but hesitates at the sight of Pete holding an unconscious Harry. Vaguely recognizing his son, the Goblin flees. Immediately after, Peter calls for an ambulance and Harry is taken to the hospital. In London, Gwen decides she was a fool to let grief separate her from Peter. At ESU, Peter meets Harry’s pusher who, when Peter accuses him, sics his two enforcers on him. Making it look like karate, Peter uses his spider-power to beat up all three, warning the pusher to quit the business. At the Daily Bugle, Jonah Jameson worries about Norman Osborn’s reaction to publishing a story of Harry’s hospitalization but thinks the drug problem too serious to ignore. When night falls, Peter becomes Spidey. The Goblin soon attacks with a glue bomb, a stun bomb, and his new weapon: a mist that takes away Spidey’s clinging powers. Finding his web-shooters empty as well, Spidey uses his speed and acrobatics to ambush the Goblin, gaining a leglock around his neck. He forcibly steers the Goblin to the hospital, perching outside Harry’s window. At the sight of his son so ill, the Goblin faints, reverting to Norman Osborn. Spidey burns the costume and puts Osborn to bed. On the street, Peter encounters Gwen who couldn’t stay away. They kiss, as Peter finally gets a happy ending.
