Underwater, the Hulk tosses dam debris skyward. Clinging to one chunk, Spidey is saved. Hulk creates a small tidal wave, almost washing away “Thunderbolt” Ross’ troops, then escapes. Back in Montreal, Peter calls Gwen, who tells him that Harry is into drugs again. Sensing he is being followed, Peter becomes Spidey and grabs the man, who reveals Doc Ock hired him. Before Spidey can follow up, Ross arrives with his soldiers, forcing Spidey to flee. As Peter, he takes Frances Delon to the Expo ’67 fairgrounds to meet Rimbaud. However, the Hulk appears and destroys their cab. Spidey fi ghts the Hulk across the fairgrounds as Rimbaud and Ross’ soldiers arrive. When helicopters attack him, the Hulk bounds away. As Rimbaud begins to tell Peter the meaning of the telegram, Ock’s assassin shoots him dead. Weary and confused, Peter heads back to the States.
