The Green Goblin attacks an Atomic Industries truck to steal a small clean fusion nuclear bomb. Failing to fi nd Harry, Peter returns to the hospital to check on Mary Jane. There, he fi nds Flash, Liz, Robbie, May, and JJJ visiting. When Jonah tries to entice him back to work, Peter rejects him. Hearing of the Goblin’s theft, Peter leaves to investigate, finally deciding to check Norman’s closed-down townhouse. Spidey finds the Goblin there and they fight until Harry reveals Flash, MJ and Aunt May kidnapped and strapped to chairs in three parts of the city. One of them has a bomb attached, ready to go off in six minutes, with spider-tracers planted to help lure Spidey to each one. After Harry declares, “the person most dear to you dies,” Spidey knocks him out and rushes off. Running out of webbing, he retrieves a cartridge from the spare costume on the rooftop. Deciding Harry’s words refer to Aunt May, Spidey gets to Grant’s Tomb just in time to save her. He returns to the townhouse to strip Harry of his Goblin costume. As paramedics cart Harry out, he reveals to police that Peter is Spider-Man, claiming he knows because he is the Goblin. Not believed, Harry is taken away for psychiatric care.
