Spider-Man attacks the gang that killed Dr. Bolton, now looting a fur store. During the fi ght, gas fumes surround him and the driverless Spider-Mobile appears and attacks. Spidey’s webshooters fail and he loses his wall-crawling abilities, but still escapes. Later, Peter and MJ visit May in the hospital fi nding Liz and Harry, clearly a couple, visiting too. At the Bugle, Jameson goes through another secretary, then opens an anonymously-sent package containing photos he believes will ruin Spider-Man. His powers returned, Spider-Man patrols, again encountering his old car and the gas fumes. The Spider-Mobile webs him up, bringing him to the Tinkerer (who rebuilt the the car to capture him for the Kingpin) and his assistant Toy. Spidey taunts Toy into tearing the webbing off him. The Tinkerer drives off in the Spider-Mobile but crashes when Spidey intervenes. Spidey then captures Toy using the car’s web-cannon. Later, he hangs the Spider-Mobile outside the Carter & Lombardo offi ce with a “love note” and a big red bow.
