At Rockefeller Center, a free-for-all develops between Spidey, the Wisp, and the Spider-Slayer, giving Spidey time to web the envelope to the statue of Prometheus’ hand. Suddenly Wisp experiences extreme pain, and streaks away. Jonah accidentally guides the Slayer into Prometheus and the falling statue smashes the robot. Marla assures Jonah that she will rebuild it stronger. At home, Spidey opens the envelope to find photos of him disposing of his clone (ASM #151, ’75). Uptown, Jonas Harrow, who is controlling the Wisp, orders him to kill Spider-Man. Wisp grudgingly agrees. As Pete steps out of his darkroom, he finds MJ there. She sits in his lap and they let the teakettle whistle. Later that night, Spidey re-enters JJJ’s office and replaces the envelope. Then swinging above Times Square, he battles the Wisp as Harrow watches in the crowd below. Wisp nearly electrocutes Spidey, but spotting Harlow dives towards him instead. Harrow activates the controller and the Wisp dissipates.
