Spider-Man stakes out Black Cat’s next likely target, but only ends up being chased off by guards. Peter heads to ESU, finding Dawn Starr convincing him to date her a bit more persuasively. Peter reluctantly agrees. That night, he returns to the museum to fi nd Cat already there. She again uses her bad luck powers to get away by putting a guard in jeopardy. The next day, Peter arranges to work with the Globe’s society editor, Pamela Dean, to photograph Lazlo Bellflower’s erotic art collection, fi guring that could be the Cat’s next stop. Peter heads back to ESU where he discovers Dawn rifling through his files looking for test answers. As he scares her off as Spidey, Cat makes a deal with Bellflower for a Helen of Troy love letter, but then double-crosses him. Spidey crashes in and they fi ght, but Cat escapes again. Spidey follows her back to her place, where he discovers a shrine built to him. She declares her love for him and claims to have stolen the most valuable romantic symbols in the world to entice him. Thinking Felicia had a breakdown when her father died, Spidey takes her to see some doctors.
