Iron Man and Steve Rogers gather to help Thor in the aftermath of Norman Osborn's Siege, in which Asgard was brought to ruins. But while Thor stands stoically and wonders what to do next, his two "helpers" descend into bickering over Iron Man's blame for the rise of Osborn.Thor tells them if this is the kind of help they want to give him, they can leave. They snap back to reality and walk with him to Heimdall's observatory, the place where Asgardians would travel to all of the Nine Realms. It is damaged and must be reckoned with so it does no harm to anyone. While they discuss their options, a rainbow-colored vortex sucks them inside, leaving their friends on the outside wondering what happened to them. Tony Stark awakens in a vast open area, his armor not working correctly and needing repairs. Wearing his old 3.8 design armor, he pulls a self repair kit from his chest plate and begins to work on it when a giant shadow looms over him. Steve Rogers awakens in a forest at night. He wanders to a nearby lodge, inside which are a couple dozen dwarves. When the dwarves realize he is friends with Thor, they decide they want to eat him. It is a massive hand-to-hand fight, but Steve manages to take them all out and make away with a sword, a bow and arrow and a shield. Thor walks through a palatial hall, realizing he is in Vanaheim. He is brought down by several energy blasts, and he looks up and sees a gloating Enchantress standing over him, with a small cadre of beasts behind her.
